Senior Program Manager

We are seeking someone with a technical background who has the desire and capability to take-on, own, and execute application projects in the Upstream Natural Gas, Midstream Natural Gas Pipeline and Downstream LNG Pressure Letdown and industries. The job will require some travel, meeting with customers, and understanding their businesses, applications, and products. In this position you will execute projects from inception through the specification, system design, fabrication, validation and operation, while providing positive contribution to the core engineering team from a project perspective.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Definition of projects scope, deliverables and specifications
  • Coordination with internal teams, including business development, engineering, production, manufacturing, test and commissioning.
  • Communication with customers / stakeholders and management of customer expectations
  • Schedule and budgeting for the project and its execution
  • Project financial ownership, ensuring expected margins are met.
  • Technical ownership, oversight and review of the project throughout the life cycle, both internally and externally.
  • Financial ownership
  • Design contribution to the core engineering team in areas of expertise
  • Planning, project technical and schedule risk identification, mitigation plans as well as development and execution of alternate paths
  • Project reporting both internal and external

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Skills, Experience, Education, and Abilities

  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical) with at least 10 years of experience
  • Masters in Business or Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with rotating machinery and/or variable frequency drives strongly preferred
  • System integration experience, specifically with electro-mechanical systems, strongly preferred
  • Project management or coordination experience
  • Six Sigma Black Belt and / or Root Cause Investigation experience is a benefit
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are a must

Supervisory Responsibilities

No direct supervisory responsibilities, however, the candidate must be able to lead a team both internally & externally.

Physical Demands

Depending on the phase of the project, time will be split between office, shop floor and customer sites. Candidate must be comfortable with travel up to 25% of the time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
